National debates are often mirrored on the state level, and Colorado experienced just that Wednesday, when House Finance Committee Democrats killed a proposed tax credit for buyers of new single-family homes, while at the same time a congressional conference committee removed a similar tax credit from the economic stimulus bill.

State Rep. Larry Liston , R-Colorado Springs, the bill's sponsor, said it was designed to provide an incentive for people to purchase new homes. House Bill 1212 would have allowed buyers of new single-family homes to receive a state tax credit of 3 percent of the purchase price, up to a maximum of $10,000. “This was a job creation bill that would have put people back to work,” Liston said.

The bill, however, came with a $40 million fiscal note, which in this economy is akin to a death sentence. Democrats on the committee voted unanimously against the measure, citing the high price tag as their reason. “The bottom

Who Thinks Colorado Rockies Deserves credit on last years outstanding Season?

I for once Think they should because they never give that much credit to the underdogs of the MLB. they only give credit to the underdogs if they are a all-star team which I say Colorado Rockies are a true all-star team.

Yes they should and in fact they will make the Playoffs again as Wild Cards and Matt Holiday and others deserve Credit just going against the Red Sox shows Character in my Book

Can a Buy Here Pay Here Lot put a Car Reposession on your credit In Colorado?

I was buying a car from a buy here pay here lot in Colorado. Not 3 weeks after I bought it the Catalyic converter faild. I cant afford to fix it and would rather do without the payments of a car that has problems. So, if I take it back can the lot put it on my credit as a reposession. I have heard that since its a buy here pay here lot they cant but can not find any info on that on the net. Help please.

I don't know about Colorado but the dealership doesn't have to take the car back. If you return the car and abandon it there they can refuse it and then report late/non payment then eventually put a repossession on your credit report. They might be obligated to fix the problem because it has been less than 30 days you have owned the car. Contact your State Attorney Generals office about your problem and how to proceed. Dealerships usually will bend over backwards once the authorities are involved...good luck!
