The $787 billion economic stimulus package that supporters say will create or save about 59,000 Colorado jobs is on its way to President Barack Obama's desk.

Republican leaders blasted the plan in a radio ad campaign running in Colorado as "a trillion-dollar ... bill chock full of wasteful Washington spending."

Backers of the package say its Colorado impact will include $752 million to bolster the state budget and $500 million to promote energy, education, and transportation programs in the state.

"This is a major milestone on our road to recovery," Obama said Saturday in his weekly Internet and radio address .

He said he would sign the measure "shortly, and we'll begin making the immediate investments necessary to put people back to work doing the work America needs done."

A compromise version of the measure, blending elements of bills passed separately by the Senate and House, passed both houses of Congress on Friday on party-line votes.

What is the best bank to use in Colorado Springs, CO?

I'm going to be moving to Colorado Springs and need to know what the best bank to use is. The bank I use now doesn't exist in CO. I'm looking for a bank with free checking, no minimum balance, bounce protection and free online banking. Any suggestions??
Wamu is a good one but they don't have a bank or ATM in Colorado Springs. The closest is in Castle Rock which is like 36 miles away. Any other suggestions?

Washington Mutual has a WAMU checking account that offers what you are looking for.

A really great play to stay in Colorado without breaking the bank??

Does anyone know of a really great place to stay in Colorado without spending over $150 per night? Preferably close to public transportation that will take you to the ski resorts. We are thinking Breckenridge but are open to suggestions.

I recommend Frisco, Colorado. There are some decent locally owned hotels that will be in the $80 - $100 a night range. There are also some good condo deals at Ten Mile Creek Condos. The town is also nice with a reasonable variety of restaurants and stores. Frisco is centrally located between Copper Mountain ski area (10 mi) and Breckenridge (9 mi). Bus service to both areas.

Where can I find out a phone number of a bank in Colorado?

We lost an envelope that came in the mail and it was from a bank in Colorado.. Columbia Credit Union or something? I'm not quite sure.. but we really need the number of that bank. If that rings a bell to anyone or if someone can help us find it, that would be great!
